3. Payment Information

Payments are processed through Stripe.

Bookworm Bliss does not require customers to provide payment-card information directly to Bookworm Bliss outside the authorized checkout process.

Stripe may process payment details, billing information, fraud-prevention information, transaction data, and other information necessary to process payments and provide related services.

4. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to process and fulfill orders, calculate shipping, calculate applicable taxes, process payments, send order confirmations and shipping updates, provide customer support, process returns and refunds, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain website security, maintain inventory and transaction records, comply with legal and accounting obligations, and improve our products, services, and website operations.

5. Shipping Information

Bookworm Bliss uses shipping-service providers, including Shippo, to obtain carrier rates, create shipping labels, and provide tracking.

Information needed to complete a shipment may be provided to Shippo and the selected carrier, including USPS or UPS.

This information may include the customer's name, delivery address, package information, shipping service, and tracking information.

6. Tax Information

We use Stripe Tax to assist with determining applicable sales-tax treatment based on factors such as the products purchased and delivery location.

Information necessary for tax calculation and transaction records may be processed through Stripe.

7. Website and Database Services

Bookworm Bliss uses Supabase for backend services including order data, inventory management, checkout reservations, and related database functions.

Information necessary to operate these systems may be stored or processed through Supabase.

8. Email Communications

Bookworm Bliss uses email-service providers, including Resend, to send transactional and customer-service emails such as order confirmations, customer-service acknowledgments, shipping-related communications, and other messages necessary to provide requested services.

We do not intend to send marketing email without any consent required by applicable law.

9. Security and Anti-Abuse Services

Bookworm Bliss uses Cloudflare services to help deliver and protect the website from automated abuse, spam, malicious traffic, and other security threats. Cloudflare may process technical and security information such as IP address, browser and device information, request characteristics, and security signals.

Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary __cf_bm cookie to support bot detection and website security. This cookie is not used by Bookworm Bliss for advertising.

Cloudflare Turnstile is configured to protect forms from automated abuse, spam, and malicious activity. The Contact Us form is currently disabled for public use and does not load Turnstile or send visitor information to Turnstile through that form while disabled.

When a protected form is enabled, Turnstile may process limited device, browser, network, or security information to determine whether activity appears legitimate.

10. Hosting and Infrastructure

The Bookworm Bliss website relies on third-party hosting and infrastructure providers to make the website available and secure.

Those providers may process technical information necessary for website delivery, security, logging, and system operation.

11. When We Share Information

We may share information with service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate Bookworm Bliss, including providers involved in payment processing, tax calculation, shipping and tracking, website hosting, database infrastructure, email delivery, fraud prevention, security, accounting, or professional services.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, respond to government or regulatory requests, protect customers or the company, or investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

12. Sale of Personal Information

Bookworm Bliss does not currently sell customers' personal information for monetary consideration.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for purposes such as completing and documenting transactions, customer service, accounting, tax compliance, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and resolving disputes.

However, no online service or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.

Customers should not send passwords, complete payment-card details, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary email or the contact form.

The storefront uses local browser storage to remember shopping-cart contents, including product identifiers, quantities, and bundle selections, and to remember a visitor's language preference. When checkout is available and used, session storage may hold technical checkout-attempt or reservation identifiers needed to complete or recover that session.

Bookworm Bliss does not currently use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, advertising cookies, or behavioral advertising trackers on the public storefront. Shopping-cart and language-preference storage are not used by Bookworm Bliss to create advertising profiles or send customer information to advertising providers.

If Bookworm Bliss later introduces advertising, behavioral tracking, or additional analytics tools, this Privacy Policy and any required cookie controls will be updated before those tools are activated.

The website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

Bookworm Bliss is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites. Customers should review the privacy policies of those services when appropriate.
